DMSO in cancer treatment

DMSOThe most important property of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is its bipolar behaviour, which makes it possible for the agent to pass through barriers in the body and penetrate the cell nucleus. The pharmaceuticals industry uses this physical advantage of DMSO to bind dissolved substances in it and deliver them to the site of application.

DMSO also binds free radicals and neutralises them so that they can be excreted through the kidneys. On the cellular level, DMSO assists with detoxification of the cell, has an anti-inflammatory effect, strengthens the immune system and inhibits bacterial growth. Like DCA, DMSO also has a positive influence on the mitochondria, the power sources of our cells. DMSO also increases the permeability of the cell membranes and so makes it easier for the cell to free itself of poisons. Even allergic reactions can be alleviated using DMSO, and this in turn relieves the burden on the immune system. DMSO has also demonstrated an effect against scleroderma, burns, inflammation and pain states, arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, infections of the paranasal sinuses, interstitial cystitis, herpes and shingles, multiple sclerosis, systemic Lupus erythematodes, sarcoidosis, thyroiditis, ulcerative colitis, leprosy, cancer and other disease conditions.

DMSO has now been the subject of countless studies and publications (over 11,000) which confirm its efficacy in cancer treatment among other properties.
