Regulating the bowel brings order to the immune system
Balanced, natural functioning of the digestive system and particularly the intestinal tract is of extreme importance for our health.
As early as 300 BC, no less a personage than Hippocrates himself, the Greek physician and “founding father of the medical profession” said rather ominously:
“Death begins in the colon”!
But although it sounds dramatic, not only is it true, it can also be explained scientifically:
The average human intestinal tract is about 8.5 metres long with a total surface area of about 500 square metres. Not only does it serve to accommodate and put our food to use, about 80% of our immune system resides in our digestive tract and is regulated from there.
Our modern lifestyle places such enormous strain on our digestive tract that it becomes diseased more and more often, and our immune system gets out of control.
An even acid-alkali balance is also fundamentally important for our body and its regulation. Without a healthy acid-alkali medium, bodily processes such as the circulation, breathing, hormone balance, excretion and above all the functions of the bowel are impaired significantly. Acidic foods (unhealthy fats, meat, sugars, etc.), stress, stimulants and sugary foods, and lack of exercise can cause the tissue to become too acidic, which is one of the fundamental problems of our “civilisation diseases. They lead not only to initially mild symptoms (feeling bloated, flatulence, constipation, etc.) and more serious digestive disorders (inflammations of the bowel such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, etc.), but also to other diseases outside of the digestive tract, such as skin diseases (allergies, eczema, dermatoses, psoriasis, etc.), lung problems (asthma bronchiale), joint problems (arthritis, arthrosis, rheumatism, etc.), psychological stress not to mention heart attack, stroke, dementia and cancer.
Colon hydrotherapy – A key to health and wellness
In colon hydrotherapy, a rectal enema is used with water (occasionally with various additives as well).
The patient lies comfortably on his back on a treatment table.
Fresh, filtered water is introduced into the colon through a plastic tube.
Inside the colon, this water detaches dried deposits (together with fecoliths and fungal colonies), which often form in the colon over the years and can have a huge impact on its natural function.
During the treatment, about 30 to 40 litres of water are passed through the colon.
The principle of the treatment is based on the natural reflex of the intestinal tract, peristaltic evacuation, and it takes place “practically automatically”.
The circulatory system is closed, there is no nuisance from odour!
Colon hydrotherapy cleanses the intestinal tract thoroughly and flushes all toxins out. In this way, the environment is totally cleansed, so that the bacterial symbiosis in the intestine is restored and the immune system can function at its best again.
The application areas for colon hydrotherapy are correspondingly many and varied:
- Diseases of the stomach and intestine
- Skin diseases
- Lung diseases
- Rheumatic conditions
- Diseases of the locomotor system
- Autoimmune diseases
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Metabolic disorders
- and many more.
