Data protection statement

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We handle your personal data in confidentiality and in conformance with the statutory data protection laws and this data protection statement.

When you use this website, various items of personal information about you will be collected.
Personal data is data with which you can be identified personally. This data protection statement explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

It should be noted that the data transmission via the internet (e.g., communicating via e-mail) can have security gaps. It is not possible to provide complete protection for data against access by third parties.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations can only be carried out with your express consent. You can withdraw the consent you have given at any time. All you need to do is send us a simple message by e-mail. The legality of the data processing which has been carried out before your withdrawal is unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to complain to the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the data protection law, the data subject has the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for questions of data protection law is the state data protection officer for the state in which our company has its headquarters. To obtain a list of the data protection officers and their contact information, please follow the link below:

Right to data portability

You have the right to have the personal data we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in order to fulfil a contract provided to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you require that this data be transmitted directly to another controller, this will only be done if it is technically possible.

SSL encryption

This page uses SSL encryption for reasons of security and in order to protect the transmission of confidential content, such the enquiries you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address line, which changes from “http://” to “https://”, and the padlock icon in your browser line. When SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, restriction, erasure

Within the limits of the prevailing statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information about your stored personal data, where it came from and the recipient and purpose for which the data is processed, if necessary the right to have this data corrected, restricted or erased. On these points and regarding further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the impressum.

Objection to advertising e-mails

We herewith reject the use of the contact data published as part of our obligation to display the impressum to send advertising and informational material that has not been explicitly requested. The operators of the website explicitly reserve the right to institute legal proceedings if unsolicited advertising information is transmitted, in the form of spam or the like.

Cookies

Some of the web pages use “cookies”. Cookies do not harm your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve to make our web offering more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files which are downloaded to your computer and stored by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”. They are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser the next time you visit the website.

You can alter the settings in your browser so that you will be informed when cookies are set and only permit the use of cookies exceptionally, to accept cookies for specified cases, or to prevent them generally, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies which are necessary to enable electronic communication processes or for providing certain functions you want (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored in accordance with GDPR Article 6 paragraph 1 point f.
The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies in order to ensure that its services are provided optimally and without technical errors. If other cookies (e.g., cookies for analysing your browsing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection statement.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information which your browser communicates to us automatically in “server log files”. This consists of:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is GDPR Article 6 paragraph 1 point b, which permits processing of data for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract.

Contact forms

When you send us enquiries using the contact form, the details you enter in the enquiry form, including the contact information you provide are stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case there are any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

Thus, the data you enter in the contact form is processed solely on the basis of your consent (GDPR article 6 paragraph 1 point a). You can withdraw this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us a simple message by e-mail. The legality of the data processing activities carried out before your withdrawal is unaffected by the withdrawal.

We will keep the data you entered on the contact form until you tell us to erase it, you withdraw your consent for it to be stored, or the purpose of storing the data no longer exists (e.g., when processing of your enquiry is complete). Mandatory legal provisions – particularly retention periods – are unaffected.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyse the use of our website.
The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by visitors to the site is typically transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. In this case, our legitimate interest is based on GDPR article 6 paragraph 1 point f.

Google has agreed to be bound by the Privacy Shield convention agreed between the European Union and the USA and has become certified. Under these terms, Google undertakes to comply with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. You can find more detailed information in the article on the following link: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active.

We have activated IP anonymisation on this website (anonymizeIp). However, this means that your IP address is truncated within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the agreement throughout the European Economic Area before it is received by Google. In exceptional cases only, the full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the USA, and it will be truncated there. On our instructions, Google will use this information to analyse the use of the website by you, to compile reports about website activities and to provide us with other services relating to use of the website and internet usage. However, the IP address which is transmitted by your browser for the purposes of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by making the corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we would point out that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of the website. You can also prevent the data relating to your use of the website that is generated by the cookie (including your IP address) from being transmitted to Google and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Alternatively to the browser plugin or in browsers on mobile devices, you can click on the following link to set an opt-out cookie, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete the cookies in your browser, you must click this link again): Deactivate Google Analytics
